Israel and Iran Exchange New Strikes as Middle East War Enters Sixth Day

The conflict between Israel and Iran intensified as both sides launched new attacks, marking the sixth day of fighting. Israel carried out strikes inside Iran and Lebanon, while Iranian missiles targeted Israeli cities including Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, raising fears that the war could expand further across the region.

Israel Targets Sites in Iran and Lebanon

Israeli forces conducted several military operations targeting locations in both Iran and Lebanon. According to Israeli officials, one of the strikes destroyed a missile launcher in the Iranian city of Qom.

Another attack reportedly hit an aerial defence system in Isfahan, which Israel said was part of Iran’s military infrastructure. Explosions were also reported in the Iranian capital Tehran, although details about the damage remain limited.

Iranian Missiles Trigger Sirens in Israel

Iran responded with missile attacks aimed at Israeli territory. Air raid sirens sounded in major cities including Tel Aviv and Jerusalem as Israeli defense systems intercepted incoming strikes.

Witnesses reported seeing explosions in the sky as missile defense systems attempted to destroy the projectiles before they reached populated areas. The continued exchange of attacks has heightened concerns about civilian safety and regional stability.

Evacuation Efforts for Foreign Citizens

Several countries have begun organizing evacuation efforts for their citizens trapped in the conflict zone. The United Kingdom planned to operate its first evacuation flight from Oman to bring British nationals home.

However, the flight scheduled to depart last night was delayed due to a technical problem. Officials confirmed that the aircraft is now expected to leave later today.

U.S. Lawmakers Reject Limits on Military Action

In Washington, lawmakers voted against a proposal that would have restricted President Donald Trump’s authority to order additional military action against Iran.

The decision means the U.S. administration retains broad powers to respond militarily if tensions continue to escalate. Analysts say this vote signals that the United States could remain deeply involved in the conflict if the situation worsens.
